When Does Membership Expire? Oh, and Freedom Awards!

Democrats for Equality,

Friendly reminder: No club meeting tonight! Make sure you Dine out for Life!

As the largest Democratic club in San Diego County, one of the questions we are always asked is “when does my membership expire?”

Last year, we formally adopted a bylaw change switching club membership renewals to occur annually. The bylaw change read as follows:
Dues shall be paid annually during the month of July every calendar year, and shall expire on June 30 the following year.

The idea behind this was simple: easier membership record-keeping, and have memberships be up for renewal during the month we celebrate Pride in San Diego. At the Board’s discretion, we extended everyone’s memberships who had been paid-up at that time to expire June 30th of this year.

So, if you haven’t paid in awhile. When does your membership expire? June 30th. If you’ve joined or renewed at anytime since the election, then don’t worry — you’ll be up in 2018.

Also, our upcoming 2017 Freedom Awards are right around the corner, and tickets are now available! Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 7th at The Lafayette Hotel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
