Democrats for Equality,
This morning we all woke up to the news that our Biden-Harris ticket was leading in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania — and obviously, if those leads continue to grow — it’s game over for the Trump presidency.
Of course, that’s barring any sort of last minute subversion of our democracy by Trump and the Republican Party.
In any event, things are looking good despite those disappointing Senate results.
Speaking of those Senate races, and our party’s position nationally, a significant highlight that we all need to recognize is the legendary work of Stacey Abrams in Georgia.
Stacey Abrams’ work on election integrity and voter registration measures — including registering 800,000 NEW VOTERS — clearly had a significant, positive impact on the results we’re seeing this year. We even flipped Georgia’s 7th congressional district, a bright spot among a disappointing result in House and Senate races throughout the country.
Not only is Georgia on the verge of electing a Democratic Presidential candidate for the first time since 1992, the working majority of our U.S. Senate may hinge on the results of TWO run-off elections scheduled for January 5, 2021.

Thank you to Stacey Abrams and all the amazing Black leaders, organizers, and organizations who elevated Georgia, our country, our world, and our future.
